ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā

291 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَالنَّبِيُ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: خَيْرُكُم مَن أَطابَ الكَلامَ، أَطعَمَ الطَّعامُ وَصَلَّى بِاللَّيل وَالنَّاسِ نِيامٌ.

31-291 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali (a.s.), God’s Prophet (S) said, “The best of you are those who talk well, feed (others) and pray at night when the people sleep.”

292 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَالكُوفَةَ، فَقالَ: يُدفَعُ عَنْها البَلاءُ كَما يُدفَعُ عَنْ أَخبِيَةِ النَّبِيُ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ.

31-292 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Ali (a.s.) talked about Kufa and said, “Some people are going to fend off calamities from Kufa, as they defended the tents of the Prophet (S).”

293 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: مَن كَذَّبَبِشَفاعَةِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ تَنَلهُ.

31-293 According to the same documentation on the authority of Ali (a.s.), “Whoever denies the intercession of God’s Prophet (S) will not benefit from it.”

294 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَالنَّبِيُ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: لا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيا حَتّى‏ يَقُومَ رَجُلٌ مِن وُلْدِ الحُسَيْنِ يَملَؤُها عَدْلاً كَما مُلِئَتْ ظُلْماً وَجَوراً.

31-294 According to the same documentation on the authority of Ali (a.s.), the Prophet (S) said, “The world will not end until one from the progeny of Al-Husayn (a.s.) rises and spreads justice all over the world which oppression and force have covered up with darkness.”

295 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، أَنَّهُ شَرِبَقائِماً وَقالَ: هكَذا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ فَعَلَ.

31-295 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Ali (a.s.) was seen drinking water while he was standing up and said, “I saw the Prophet (S) do this.”

296 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: العِلْمُضالَّةُ المُؤمِنِ.

31-296 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali (a.s.), “A believer seeks knowledge as hard as he would seek his lost ones.”

297 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَالنَّبِيُ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: مَن غَشَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي مَشوِرَةٍ بَرِئتُ مِنْهُ.

31-297 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali (a.s.) the Prophet (S) said, “I despise whoever cheats Muslims when they seek his counsel.”

298 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: نَحْنُأَهْلَ البِيْتِ لا يُقاسُ بِنا، أَحَدٌ فِينا نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنَ فِينا مَعْدِنُ الرِّسالَةِ.

31-298 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali (a.s.), “No one is comparable to us - the Members of the Holy Household - since the Qur’an has been revealed to us and the source of Prophethood is in our Household.”

299 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَرَسُولَ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: أَنَا مَدِينَةُ العِلْمِ وَعَلِيٌّ بابُها [فَمَن اَرادَ العِلْمَ فَليَاتِ البابَ‏] .

31-299 According to the same documentation on the authority of Ali (a.s.), God’s Prophet (S) said, “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its portal. (Whoever wishes to gain knowledge should go through that portal.)

300 - وَبِإِسْنادِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَالنَّبِيُ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ [اِطّلاعَةً] فَاخْتارَنِي، ثُمَّ اطَّلَعَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَاخْتارَكَ بَعْدي، فَجَعَلَكَ القَيِّمَ بِأَمْرِ اُمَّتِي من بَعْدي، ولَيْسَ أَحَدٌ بَعْدَنا مِثلَنا.

31-300 According to the same documentation on the authority of Ali (a.s.), the Prophet (S) said, “Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God looked upon the people of the Earth once and chose me. Then He took another look and chose you (Ali). He established you in charge of the affairs of my nation after me. There will be no one like us after us.”
