Reward of reciting salutations (Salawaat) a hundred times after Morning Prayer
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ أَبِی أَیُّوبَ عَنِ الصَّبَّاحِ بْنِ سَیَابَهَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: أَ لَا أُعَلِّمُکَ شَیْئاً یَقِی اللَّهُ بِهِ وَجْهَکَ مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَی قَالَ قُلْ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ مِائَهَ مَرَّهٍ یَقِی اللَّهُ بِهِ وَجْهَکَ مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from Muhammad b. Abi ’Umayr from Abi Ayoob’ from al-Sabah b. Sayabeh from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Recite: Allaahumma s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammad a hundred times after Morning Prayer so that the Almighty Allah keeps your face safe from the fire of Hell.”

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِی بَعْضِ الْکُتُبِ مَنْ صَلَّی عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ کَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مِائَهَ حَسَنَهٍ وَ مَنْ قَالَ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَهْلِ بَیْتِهِ کَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ حَسَنَهٍ.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from Muhammad b. Abi ’Umayr from the one that narrated to him from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says that he has read in a heavenly scripture, “Allah will write a thousand rewards for one who sends salutations on Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and his progeny. For one who recites Allaahumma s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa ahli baitih Allah will write a thousand rewards.”

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَیْلِ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ صَلَّی عَلَیَّ یَوْمَ الْجُمُعَهِ مِائَهَ صَلَاهٍ قَضَی اللَّهُ لَهُ سِتِّینَ حَاجَهً ثَلَاثُونَ لِلدُّنْیَا وَ ثَلَاثُونَ لِلْآخِرَهِ.
1. Imam Ridha (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who recites salutation on me a hundred times on Friday, the Almighty Allah will fulfill his thirty desires of this world and the hereafter each.”

Reward of reciting Innallaaha wa Malaaikatahu…after Morning and Maghrib Prayers
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِی عَنْ أَبِی الْمُغِیرَهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع یَقُولُ مَنْ قَالَ فِی دُبُرِ صَلَاهِ الصُّبْحِ وَ صَلَاهِ الْمَغْرِبِ قَبْلَ أَنْ یَثْنِیَ رِجْلَیْهِ أَوْ یُکَلِّمَ أَحَداً إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَ مَلائِکَتَهُ یُصَلُّونَ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ یا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَیْهِ وَ سَلِّمُوا تَسْلِیماً اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ذُرِّیَّتِهِ قَضَی اللَّهُ لَهُ مِائَهَ حَاجَهٍ سَبْعِینَ فِی الدُّنْیَا وَ ثَلَاثِینَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا مَعْنَی صَلَاهِ اللَّهِ وَ مَلَائِکَتِهِ وَ صَلَاهِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ قَالَ صَلَاهُ اللَّهِ رَحْمَهٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ صَلَاهُ مَلَائِکَتِهِ تَزْکِیَهٌ مِنْهُمْ لَهُ وَ صَلَاهُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ دُعَاءٌ مِنْهُمْ لَهُ وَ مَنْ شَرَّکَ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ فِی الصَّلَاهِ عَلَی النَّبِیِّ وَ آلِهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِی الْأَوَّلِینَ وَ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِی الْآخِرِینَ وَ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِی الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَی وَ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِی الْمُرْسَلِینَ اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُحَمَّداً الْوَسِیلَهَ وَ الشَّرَفَ وَ الْفَضِیلَهَ وَ الدَّرَجَهَ الْکَبِیرَهَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی آمَنْتُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ لَمْ أَرَهُ فَلَا تَحْرِمْنِی یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ رُؤْیَتَهُ وَ ارْزُقْنِی صُحْبَتَهُ وَ تَوَفَّنِی عَلَی مِلَّتِهِ وَ اسْقِنِی مِنْ حَوْضِهِ مَشْرَباً رَوِیّاً سَائِغاً هَنِیئاً لَا أَظْمَأُ بَعْدَهُ أَبَداً إِنَّکَ عَلی کُلِّ شَیْ ءٍ قَدِیرٌ اللَّهُمَّ کَمَا آمَنْتُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ص وَ لَمْ أَرَهُ فَعَرِّفْنِی فِی الْجِنَانِ وَجْهَهُ اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ رُوحَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِّی تَحِیَّهً کَثِیرَهً وَ سَلَاماً فَإِنَّ مَنْ صَلَّی عَلَی النَّبِیِّ ص بِهَذِهِ الصَّلَاهِ هُدِمَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ وَ مُحِیَتْ خَطَایَاهُ وَ دَامَ سُرُورُهُ وَ اسْتُجِیبَ دُعَاؤُهُ وَ أُعْطِیَ أَمَلَهُ وَ بُسِطَ لَهُ فِی رِزْقِهِ وَ أُعِینَ عَلَی عَدُوِّهِ- وَ هِیَ لَهُ سَبَبُ أَنْوَاعِ الْخَیْرِ وَ یُجْعَلُ مِنْ رُفَقَاءِ نَبِیِّهِ فِی الْجِنَانِ الْأَعْلَی یَقُولُهُنَّ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ غُدْوَهً وَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ عَشِیَّهً.
1. It is narrated that Imam Ridha (a.s.) said, “One who recites: Innallaaha wa malaa-ikatahu yus’alloona a’lan nabiyyi yaa ayyuhalladheenaa aamanoo s’alloo a’laihi wa sallimoo tasleemaa. Allaahumma s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammad immediately after Morning and Maghrib Prayers, the Almighty Allah will fulfill his one hundred wishes out of which seventy will be fulfilled in the world and thirty in the hereafter.” The narrator asked, “What is meant by the salutation of Allah, angels and the believers?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “The salutation of Allah is sending down of His mercy. The salutation of angels is his glorification and the salutation of the believers is a supplication for him. One of the secrets of Aale Muhammad is in the salutation on the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) and his progeny: Allaahumma s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammadin fil malaa-il a- a’laa wa s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammadin fil mursaleen. Allaahumma’t’i muh’ammadal waseelata washsharafa wal faz”eelata waddarajatal kabeeah. Allaahumma innee aamantu bimuh’ammadinw wa lam arahu falaa tah’rimnee yaumal qiyaamati ru-yatahu warzuqnee suh’batahu wa tawaffanee a’laa millatihi wasqinee min h’auz”ihi mashrabar rawiyyan saa-ighan hanee-al laa az’ma-u ba’dahu abadaa. Innaka a’laa kulli shai-in Qadeer. Allaahumma kamaa aamantu bimuh’ammadinw wa lam arahu fa-a’rrifnee filjinaani waj- hah. Allaahumma balligh rooh’a muh’ammadin a’nnee tah’iyyatan katheeratanw wa salaamaa. One who recites this salutation thrice everyday in morning and in the evening, his sins are wiped off and forgiven. He will remain happy forever. His supplications will be accepted. His wishes will be fulfilled. His earnings will improve. He will get assistance against his enemy. Causes of good deeds will come to him and he will get the company of prophets in high gardens.”

Reward of dedicating one-third or half or whole supplication to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.)
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِی عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ مُرَازِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَی النَّبِیَّ ص فَقَالَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص إِنِّی جَعَلْتُ ثُلُثَ صَلَاتِی لَکَ فَقَالَ لَهُ خَیْراً فَقَالَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص إِنِّی جَعَلْتُ نِصْفَ صَلَاتِی لَکَ فَقَالَ ذَلِکَ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ قَدْ جَعَلْتُ کُلَّ صَلَاتِی لَکَ قَالَ إِذاً یَکْفِیَکَ اللَّهُ مَا أَهَمَّکَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْیَاکَ وَ آخِرَتِکَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَصْلَحَکَ اللَّهُ کَیْفَ یَجْعَلُ صَلَاتَهُ لَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع لَا یَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ شَیْئاً إِلَّا بَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاهِ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah al-Barqi who said it was narrated to us by Abi from Muhammad b. Abi ’Umayr from Mazarim who said who said Abu Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Send salutation of Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and his progeny before asking for anything from Allah.”

Reward of reciting salutation (Salawaat) on the progeny of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) after reciting salutation on him
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ عَنْ وَاصِلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص ذَاتَ یَوْمٍ لِأَمِیرِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع أَ لَا أُبَشِّرُکَ قَالَ بَلَی بِأَبِی أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّی فَإِنَّکَ لَمْ تَزَلْ مُبَشِّراً بِکُلِّ خَیْرٍ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی جَبْرَائِیلُ آنِفاً بِالْعَجَبِ فَقَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع وَ مَا الَّذِی أَخْبَرَکَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِی إِذَا صَلَّی عَلَیَّ وَ أَتْبَعَ بِالصَّلَاهِ عَلَیَّ أَهْلَ بَیْتِی فُتِّحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ وَ صَلَّتْ عَلَیْهِ الْمَلَائِکَهُ سَبْعِینَ صَلَاهً وَ أَنَّهُ لِلذَّنْبِ حَطّاً ثُمَّ تَحَاتَّتْ عَنْهُ الذُّنُوبُ کَمَا تَحَاتَّتِ الْوَرَقُ مِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَ یَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَکَ وَ تَعَالَی لَبَّیْکَ عَبْدِی وَ سَعْدَیْکَ یَا مَلَائِکَتِی أَنْتُمْ تُصَلُّونَ عَلَیْهِ سَبْعِینَ صَلَاهً وَ أَنَا أُصَلِّی عَلَیْهِ سَبْعَمِائَهِ صَلَاهٍ فَإِذَا صَلَّی عَلَیَّ وَ لَمْ یُتْبِعْ بِالصَّلَاهِ عَلَیَّ أَهْلَ بَیْتِی کَانَ بَیْنَهَا وَ بَیْنَ السَّمَاءِ سَبْعُونَ حِجَاباً وَ یَقُولُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ لَا لَبَّیْکَ وَ لَا سَعْدَیْکَ یَا مَلَائِکَتِی لَا تُصْعِدُوا دُعَاءَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ یُلْحِقَ بِالنَّبِیِّ عِتْرَتَهُ فَلَا یَزَالُ مَحْجُوباً حَتَّی یُلْحِقَ بِی أَهْلَ بَیْتِی.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to us by Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Ali b. Ma’bad from Wasil b. Abdillah from Abdillah b. Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: ‘O My servant! Your supplications are accepted and you are fortunate. O angels! Recite seventy salutations on him and I will recite seven hundred salutations on him’.” The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) went on to say, “One who recites salutation on me but does not do so on my progeny there are seventy veils between that salutation and heaven. The Almighty Allah tells him, ‘There is no reply or fortune for you. O angels do not bring his supplication to Me if he does not supplement his salutation on the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) with the salutation on his holy progeny’. If one does not join the salutation on my Ahle Bayt along with mine his prayers will remain in the veil (unanswered) forever.”

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ السَّعْدَآبَادِیُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِی عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ أَفْضَلِ الْأَعْمَالِ یَوْمَ الْجُمُعَهِ قَالَ الصَّلَاهُ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ مِائَهَ مَرَّهٍ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَ مَا زَادَتْ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ.
1. The narrator asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.), “Which is the best deed on Friday?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Reciting Durood on Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and his progeny a hundred times after Salaat-e-Asr on Friday. It is better to recite more than that.”
قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ فِی رِوَایَهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَیَابَهَ وَ ابْنِ إِسْمَاعِیلَ عَنْ نَاجِیَهَ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا ع قَالَ: إِذَا صَلَّیْتَ یَوْمَ الْجُمُعَهِ فَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَوْصِیَاءِ الْمَرْضِیِّینَ بِأَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِکَ وَ بَارِکْ عَلَیْهِمْ بِأَفْضَلِ بَرَکَاتِکَ وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَیْهِ وَ عَلَیْهِمْ وَ عَلَی أَرْوَاحِهِمْ وَ أَجْسَادِهِمْ وَ رَحْمَهُ اللَّهِ وَ بَرَکَاتُهُ کَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَکَ مِائَهَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَهٍ وَ مَحَا عَنْکَ مِائَهَ أَلْفِ سَیِّئَهٍ وَ قَضَی لَکَ بِهَا مِائَهَ أَلْفِ حَاجَهٍ وَ رَفَعَ لَکَ بِهَا مِائَهَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَهٍ.
2. Who said Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah and in the narration of Abdillah b. Sayabeh and Ibn Ismail from Najayh from one of the Imams (a.s.) who said: It is narrated from Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) or Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) that one should recite the following supplication after Friday Prayer: Allaahumma s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa aali muh’ammadin al-aus’iyaa-il marz”eena bi-afz”ali s’alawaatika wa baarik a’laihim bi- afz”ali barakaatika was salaamu a’laihi wa a’laihim wa a’laa arwaah’ihim wa ajsaadihim wa rah’matullaahi wa barakaatuh. The Almighty Allah writes a hundred thousand rewards for the reciter and wipes a hundred thousand sins and fulfils a hundred thousand wishes and increases the position by a hundred thousand levels.”
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُصَدِّقِ بْنِ صَدَقَهَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مُوسَی السَّابَاطِیِّ قَالَ: کُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَهْلِ بَیْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَا هَذَا لَقَدْ ضَیَّقْتَ عَلَیْنَا أَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْبَیْتِ خَمْسَهٌ أَصْحَابُ الْکِسَاءِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ کَیْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَنَکُونَ نَحْنُ وَ شِیعَتُنَا قَدْ دَخَلْنَا فِیهِ.
3. And from the previous chain from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah al-Barqi from his father from ’Amru b. Sa’eed from Musdaq b. Sadaqah from Ammar b. Musa al-Sabati who said: “I was in the presence of Abi Abdillah (a.s.), thus a person said, "O Allah, send your blessings upon Muhammad and the household (i.e. Ahl al-Bayt) of Muhammad." So Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said to him: "O man, you have excluded us. Don’t you know that the household are five [which are] the people of the cloak?” He asked, “How should I say?” He (a.s.) replied, “Say: O Allah, send your blessings upon Muhammad and the family (i.e. Al) of Muhammad, and so, we and our Shias are included in it.”

Reward of reciting Rabbi s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa ahli baitih a hundred times in a day
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُوسَی بْنُ عِمْرَانَ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ مُعَاوِیَهَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَالَ فِی یَوْمٍ مِائَهَ مَرَّهٍ رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَی أَهْلِ بَیْتِهِ قَضَی اللَّهُ لَهُ مِائَهَ حَاجَهٍ ثَلَاثُونَ مِنْهَا لِلدُّنْیَا وَ سَبْعُونَ مِنْهَا لِلْآخِرَهِ.
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakil who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ja’far who said it was narrated to me by Musa b. ’Imran from al-Hussain b. Yazid from Muawiyah b. Ammar from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who recites: Rabbi s’alli a’laa muh’ammadinw wa ahli baitih a hundred times in a day, Allah will fulfill his hundred wishes during that day – thirty of which are related to this world while remaining seventy are related to the hereafter.”
