Rewards

Reward of reciting Surah Maryam

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَهَ سُورَهِ مَرْیَمَ لَمْ یَمُتْ حَتَّی یُصِیبَ مَا یُغْنِیهِ فِی نَفْسِهِ وَ مَالِهِ وَ وُلْدِهِ وَ کَانَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ عِیسَی ابْنِ مَرْیَمَ ع وَ أُعْطِیَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِثْلَ مُلْکِ سُلَیْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ ع فِی الدُّنْیَا.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Umar from Aban from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: One who recites Surah Maryam regularly will not die till he is given that which makes him needless in himself, wealth and children; and in the hereafter he would be of the companions of Isa (a.s.) and in the hereafter he would be given a like of the worldly kingdom of Sulaiman bin Dawood (a.s.).

Reward of reciting Surah Taha

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ صَبَّاحٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: لَا تَدَعُوا قِرَاءَهَ سُورَهِ طه فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ یُحِبُّهَا وَ یُحِبُّ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا وَ مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَتَهَا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ کِتابَهُ بِیَمِینِهِ* وَ لَمْ یُحَاسِبْهُ بِمَا عَمِلَ فِی الْإِسْلَامِ وَ أُعْطِیَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ حَتَّی یَرْضَی.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Sabah al-Hadha from Ishaq b. Ammar from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Don’t miss the recitation of Surah Taha because Allah loves that Surah and its reciters. If a person recites it regularly, the Almighty Allah would give him scroll of deeds in his right hand on the Day of Judgment. There would be no accounting for his deeds, which he had done after accepting Islam and he would get so many rewards in the hereafter that he would be pleased.”

Reward of reciting Surah Anbiya

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ یَحْیَی بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ عَنْ فُضَیْلٍ الْغَسَّانِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ الْأَنْبِیَاءِ حُبّاً لَهَا کَانَ کَمَنْ رَافَقَ النَّبِیِّینَ أَجْمَعِینَ فِی جَنَّاتِ النَّعِیمِ وَ کَانَ مَهِیباً فِی أَعْیُنِ النَّاسِ حَیَاهَ الدُّنْیَا.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Yahya b. Musawir from Fudhayl al-Ghassan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: One who recites Surah Anbiya with sincerity to it, would be among the companions of all the prophets in Paradise. While in the world he would carry much prestige and awe among the people.

Reard of reciting Surah al-Hajj

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ سَوْرَهَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ الْحَجِّ فِی کُلِّ ثَلَاثَهِ أَیَّامٍ لَمْ تَخْرُجْ سَنَتُهُ حَتَّی یَخْرُجَ إِلَی بَیْتِ اللَّهِ الْحَرَامِ وَ إِنْ مَاتَ فِی سَفَرِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّهَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ کَانَ مُخَالِفاً قَالَ یُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُ بَعْضُ مَا هُوَ فِیهِ.

1 - In this chain of narration, from Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Suraqa, from his father, from Abu Abdullah (Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (as)), he said: "Whoever recites Surah Al-Hajj every three days, his age will not end until he goes to the Sacred House of Allah (Kaaba), and if he dies during his journey, he will enter paradise." I asked, "What if he is unable to do so?" He replied, "Some of the difficulty will be alleviated for him."

Reward of reciting Surah Mominoon

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ خَتَمَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِالسَّعَادَهِ وَ إِذَا کَانَ مُدْمِنَ قِرَاءَتِهَا فِی کُلِّ جُمُعَهٍ کَانَ مَنْزِلُهُ فِی الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَی مَعَ النَّبِیِّینَ وَ الْمُرْسَلِینَ.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan b. al-Hussain b. Abi al-’Ala from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: Whoever recites Surah Mominoon, Allah completes for him the greatness of virtues and auspiciousness and if someone recites Surah Mominoon every Friday regularly, his position would be in the high garden of Paradise where he would be with the prophets and messengers.

Reward of reciting Surah Nur

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْکَانَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: حَصِّنُوا أَمْوَالَکُمْ وَ فُرُوجَکُمْ بِتِلَاوَهِ سُورَهِ النُّورِ وَ حَصِّنُوا بِهَا نِسَاءَکُمْ قَالَ مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَتَهَا فِی کُلِّ یَوْمٍ أَوْ فِی کُلِّ لَیْلَهٍ لَمْ یَزْنِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَیْتِهِ أَبَداً حَتَّی یَمُوتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَاتَ شَیَّعَهُ إِلَی قَبْرِهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَکٍ کُلُّهُمْ یَدْعُونَ وَ یَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَهُ حَتَّی یُدْخَلَ فِی قَبْرِهِ.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Abi Abdillah al-Mu’min from Ibn Muskan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Safeguard your wealth, life and women with recitation of Surah Nur. One who recites it regularly everyday or every night none from his family will fall into trouble till he or she dies. When he dies 70000 angels would accompany his bier upto the grave and all those angels would keep praying for him and seeking forgiveness for him till the reciter is laid down in the grave.”

Reward of reciting Surah Furqan

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَیْفِ بْنِ عَمِیرَهَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ ع قَالَ: یَا ابْنَ عَمَّارٍ لَا تَدَعْ قِرَاءَهَ سُورَهِ تَبارَکَ الَّذِی نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقانَ عَلی عَبْدِهِ فَإِنَّ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا فِی کُلِّ لَیْلَهٍ لَمْ یُعَذِّبْهُ اللَّهُ أَبَداً وَ لَمْ یُحَاسِبْهُ وَ کَانَ مَنْزِلُهُ فِی الْفِرْدَوْسِ الْأَعْلَی.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from Sayf b. ’Umayra from Ishaq b. Ammar from Abi al-Hassan (a.s.) who said: “O Ibne Ammar! Do not avoid recitation of Tabaarakalladhee nazzalal furqaana a’laa a’bdihi. One who recites it every night, Allah will never chastise him and not take his account and his abode will be in the high garden of Paradise.”

Reward of reciting Surah Naml, Shuara and Qasas

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ الطَّوَاسِینَ الثَّلَاثَهِ فِی لَیْلَهِ الْجُمُعَهِ کَانَ مِنْ أَوْلِیَاءِ اللَّهِ وَ فِی جِوَارِ اللَّهِ وَ کَنَفِهِ وَ لَمْ یُصِبْهُ فِی الدُّنْیَا بُؤْسٌ أَبَداً وَ أُعْطِیَ فِی الْآخِرَهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّهِ حَتَّی یَرْضَی وَ فَوْقَ رِضَاهُ وَ زَوَّجَهُ اللَّهُ مِائَهَ زَوْجَهٍ مِنْ حُورِ الْعِینِ.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from al-Hussain b. Abi al-’Ala from Abi Basir from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who recites Surah Tawaseen (Surah Naml, Shuara and Qasas) every Friday eve would be included among the lovers of Allah. He would remain in the protection of Allah. He would never fall prey to helplessness and would get Paradise much more than he desired. The Almighty Allah would marry him to more than one hundred Hoorul Ein.”

Reward of reciting Surah Ankaboot and Room

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ الْعَنْکَبُوتِ وَ الرُّومِ فِی شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ لَیْلَهَ ثَلَاثَهٍ وَ عِشْرِینَ فَهُوَ وَ اللَّهِ یَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّهِ لَا أَسْتَثْنِی فِیهِ أَبَداً وَ لَا أَخَافُ أَنْ یَکْتُبَ اللَّهُ عَلَیَّ فِی یَمِینِی إِثْماً وَ إِنَّ لِهَاتَیْنِ السُّورَتَیْنِ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَکَاناً.

1. From the previous chain from al-Hassan from his father from Abi Basir from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “O Aba Muhammad! One who recites Surah Ankaboot and Room on the twenty-third of the month of Ramadan would be included among the people of Paradise. I do not expect anything. Allah would not write any sins of this type. These two Surahs have a high regard near Allah.”

Reward of reciting Surah Luqman

بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جُبَیْرٍ الْعَرْزَمِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَهَ لُقْمَانَ فِی کُلِّ لَیْلَهٍ وَکَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ فِی لَیْلَتِهِ مَلَائِکَهً یَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ إِبْلِیسَ وَ جُنُودِهِ حَتَّی یُصْبِحَ فَإِذَا قَرَأَهَا بِالنَّهَارِ لَمْ یَزَالُوا یَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ إِبْلِیسَ وَ جُنُودِهِ حَتَّی یُمْسِیَ.

1. From the previous chain from ’Amru b. Jubayr al-’Arzami from his father from Abi Ja’far (a.s.) who said: One who recites Surah Luqman every night, Allah appoints for him angels that protect him from Iblees and his army till the morning. If he recites it in the day, they will not leave him and protect him from Iblees and his army till the night falls.
