2. It is narrated that Allah does not take away one or both the eyes of a person except that He frees that person from being questioned about sins.
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی الْحُسَیْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ مُعَاوِیَهَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ یَسَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ إِیَّاکُمْ وَ الْکَسَلَ إِنَّ رَبَّکُمْ رَحِیمٌ یَشْکُرُ الْقَلِیلَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَیُصَلِّی الرَّکْعَتَیْنِ تَطَوُّعاً یُرِیدُ بِهِمَا وَجْهَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَیُدْخِلُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِمَا الْجَنَّهَ وَ إِنَّهُ لَیَتَصَدَّقُ بِالدِّرْهَمِ تَطَوُّعاً یُرِیدُ بِهِ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَیُدْخِلُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّهَ وَ إِنَّهُ لَیَصُومُ الْیَوْمَ تَطَوُّعاً یُرِیدُ بِهِ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَی فَیُدْخِلُهُ بِهِ الْجَنَّهَ.
1. The narrator says that he heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) say, “Leave laziness aside for your Lord is Merciful. He considers even a small deed of yours. A person who offers even a two rakat Salaat for the pleasure of Allah, He will make him enter Paradise for that. One who gives one dirham as Sadaqah seeking the pleasure of Allah, He would make him enter Paradise for that. One who fasts for a single day seeking the pleasure of Allah, He would make him enter Paradise for that.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ الْخَزَّازِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ کَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ لِجَمِیعِ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ لَفَضْلًا عَلَی جَمِیعِ سَائِرِ الشُّهُورِ کَفَضْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص عَلَی سَائِرِ الرُّسُلِ.
1. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) says, “Surely, the excellence of the Fridays of the month of Ramadan over ordinary Fridays is like the excellence of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) over other prophets. Similar is the excellence of the month of Ramadan over all months.”
حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ: رَکْعَتَانِ یُصَلِّیهِمَا مُتَعَطِّرٌ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَبْعِینَ رَکْعَهً یُصَلِّیهِمَا غَیْرُ مُتَعَطِّرٍ.
1. It was narrated to me by Ali b. Ahmad from his grandfather Ahmad b. Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Khalid from al-Muffadhal b. Umar from al-Sadiq (a.s.) who said: “Two rakat prayer prayed with perfume is equal to seventy rakat prayer offered without perfume.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَکِیمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِیدِ عَنِ الْوَلِیدِ بْنِ صَبِیحٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: رَکْعَتَیْنِ یُصَلِّیهِمَا مُتَزَوِّجٌ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَبْعِینَ رَکْعَهً یُصَلِّیهِمَا غَیْرُ مُتَزَوِّجٍ.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Muhammad from al-Hassan b. Ali from Ja’far b. Muhammad b. Hakeem from Abdul-Hameed from al-Waleed b. Sabeeh from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Two rakat Salaat of a married person is equal to seventy rakats of an unmarried person.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ یَقُولُ مَنْ صَلَّی أَرْبَعَ رَکَعَاتٍ یَقْرَأُ فِی کُلِّ رَکْعَهٍ بِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ خَمْسِینَ مَرَّهً لَمْ یَنْفَتِلْ بَیْنَهُ وَ بَیْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذَنْبٌ إِلَّا غَفَرَ لَهُ.
1. The narrator says that he heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) say, “One who offers a four rakat prayer reciting Surah Tauheed fifty times in each rakat all of his sins committed between him and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, would be forgiven before he concludes it.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ أَبِی الْبِلَادِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی الْحَسَنِ ع أَیُّ شَیْ ءٍ لِمَنْ صَلَّی صَلَاهَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ لَوْ کَانَ عَلَیْهِ مِثْلُ رَمْلِ عَالِجٍ وَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ ذُنُوباً لَغَفَرَهَا اللَّهُ لَهُ قُلْتُ هَذِهِ لَنَا قَالَ فَلِمَنْ هِیَ إِلَّا لَکُمْ خَاصَّهً قَالَ قُلْتُ فَأَیَّ شَیْ ءٍ یَقْرَأُ فِیهَا مِنْ عَرْضِ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ لَا اقْرَأْ فِیهَا إِذا زُلْزِلَتِ وَ إِذا جاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْناهُ فِی لَیْلَهِ الْقَدْرِ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from his father from Ali b. Asbat from Ibrahim b. Abi al-Balad who said: The narrator asked Imam Musa Kadhim (a.s.), “What is the reward of offering Salaat-e-Ja’far-e-Tayyar?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Allah would forgive that person even if his sins are equal to the number of grains of sand or number of waves in the oceans.” The narrator asked, “Is this reward applicable for us?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Of course, then for whom else? It is for you only.” The narrator asked, “Which Surah should be recited in this Salaat?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Recite Idhaa zulzilat, idhaa jaa-a nas’rullaah, innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr and qul huwallaahu ah’ad.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: شَرَفُ الْمُؤْمِنِ صَلَاهُ اللَّیْلِ وَ عِزُّ الْمُؤْمِنِ کَفُّهُ عَنِ النَّاسِ.
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from al-Abbas b. Ma’ruf from Sa’dan b. Muslim from Abdillah b. Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “The honor of a believer is in offering Salaat-e-Shab and his prestige is in not asking from people.”
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَبُو زُهَیْرٍ النَّهْدِیُّ عَنْ آدَمَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُعَاوِیَهَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: عَلَیْکُمْ بِصَلَاهِ اللَّیْلِ فَإِنَّهَا سُنَّهُ نَبِیِّکُمْ وَ دَأْبُ الصَّالِحِینَ قَبْلَکُمْ وَ مَطْرَدَهُ الدَّاءِ عَنْ أَجْسَادِکُمْ.
2. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Yahya al-’Attar who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ahmad who said it was narrated to me by Abu Zuhayr al-Hindi from Adam b. Ishaq from Muawiyah b. Ammar from some of his companions from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Offer Salaat-e-Shab for it is the Sunnah of Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and the virtuous that came before you. It removes all the ailments from your body.”
