Reward of reciting Surah Qadr while cutting a cloth for new dress
حَدَّثَنِی أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ السَّرَّادِ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَطَعَ ثَوْباً جَدِیداً وَ قَرَأَ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْناهُ فِی لَیْلَهِ الْقَدْرِ سِتّاً وَ ثَلَاثِینَ مَرَّهً فَإِذَا بَلَغَ تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلائِکَهُ أَخْرَجَ شَیْئاً مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَ رَشَّ عَلَی الثَّوْبِ رَشّاً خَفِیفاً ثُمَّ صَلَّی رَکْعَتَیْنِ وَ دَعَا رَبَّهُ وَ قَالَ فِی دُعَائِهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی رَزَقَنِی مَا أَتَجَمَّلُ بِهِ فِی النَّاسِ وَ أُوَارِی بِهِ عَوْرَتِی وَ أُصَلِّی فِیهِ لِرَبِّی وَ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ لَمْ یَزَلْ یَأْکُلُ فِی سَعَهٍ حَتَّی یَبْلَی ذَلِکَ الثَّوْبُ.
1. It was narrated to me by Ahmad b. Muhammad from his father from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Muhammad b. al-Hussain from Muhammad b. Umar al-Sarad from the one that narrated to him from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “A person should recite Surah Qadr thirty-six times while cutting a new cloth. When he reaches Tanazzalul malaa-ikatu, he should sprinkle a little water on the cloth. He should then offer a two rakat Salaat and recite this supplication Alh’amdulillaahilladhee razaqanee maa atajammalu bihi finnaasi wa uwaaree bihi a’uratee wa us’allee feehi lirabbee wa ah’madullaah. Before this cloth gets old, there would be abundance in livelihood.”

Reward of praising Allah much while looking in the mirror
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَهَ بْنِ صَدَقَهَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع أَنَّ النَّبِیَّ ص قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَوْجَبَ الْجَنَّهَ لِشَابٍّ کَانَ یُکْثِرُ النَّظَرَ فِی الْمِرْآهِ فَیُکْثِرُ حَمْدَ اللَّهِ عَلَی ذَلِکَ.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Abdillah b. Ja’far from Harun b. Muslim from Mas’ada b. Sadaqah from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his forefathers (a.s.) that The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “The Almighty Allah has decreed Paradise for those youths who look at the mirror and praise Allah much.”
Rewards
Reward of reciting the following supplication upon seeing a Jew, Christian or a Magian
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَهَ بْنِ صَدَقَهَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع أَنَّ النَّبِیَّ ص قَالَ: مَنْ رَأَی یَهُودِیّاً أَوْ نَصْرَانِیّاً أَوْ مَجُوسِیّاً أَوْ وَاحِداً عَلَی غَیْرِ مِلَّهِ الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی فَضَّلَنِی عَلَیْکَ بِالْإِسْلَامِ دِیناً وَ بِالْقُرْآنِ کِتَاباً وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِیّاً وَ بِعَلِیٍّ إِمَاماً وَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِینَ إِخْوَاناً وَ بِالْکَعْبَهِ قِبْلَهً لَمْ یَجْمَعِ اللَّهُ بَیْنَهُ وَ بَیْنَهُ فِی النَّارِ أَبَداً.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Abdillah b. Ja’far from Harun b. Muslim from Mas’ada b. Sadaqah from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (a.s.) that The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “One who recites Alh’amdulillaahilladhee faz”z”alnee a’laika bil islaami deenanw wa bi qur-aani kitaabanw wa bimuh’ammadin nabeeyanw wa bi-a’liyyin imaamanw wa bil mu-mineena ikhwaananw wabil ka’bati qiblah Allah won’t gather that person along with those people.”

Reward of complete ablution, Umrah, payment of Zakat…
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی الْعَمْرَکِیُّ عَنِ الْبُوفَکِیِّ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَخِیهِ مُوسَی بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ أَسْبَغَ وُضُوءَهُ وَ أَحْسَنَ صَلَاتَهُ وَ أَدَّی زَکَاهَ مَالِهِ وَ کَفَّ غَضَبَهُ وَ سَجَنَ لِسَانَهُ وَ اسْتَغْفَرَ لِذَنْبِهِ وَ أَدَّی النَّصِیحَهَ لِأَهْلِ بَیْتِ نَبِیِّهِ ص فَقَدِ اسْتَکْمَلَ حَقَائِقَ الْإِیمَانِ وَ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّهِ مَفْتُوحَهٌ لَهُ.
1. Imam Musa Kadhim (a.s.) narrates from his father, Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who performs complete ablution, offers Salaat regularly, pays Zakat of his wealth regularly, controls his anger and tongue, repents for his sins and seeks goodness of the Ahle Bayt (a.s.) of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) then all the duties of his faith are fulfilled and the doors of Paradise would be opened for him.”

Reward of reciting Raz”eetubillaahi rabbanw…
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ قَالَ رَضِیتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبّاً وَ بِالْإِسْلَامِ دِیناً وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا وَ بِأَهْلِ بَیْتِهِ أَوْلِیَاءَ کَانَ حَقّاً عَلَی اللَّهِ أَنْ یُرْضِیَهُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ.
1. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) says, “One who recites Raz”eetubillaahi rabbanw wa bil islaami deenanw wa bimuh’ammadir rasoolanw wa bi-ahli baytihi awliyaa – he has right that Allah becomes pleased with him on the Day of Judgment.”

Reward of supplicating day and night
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَ لَا أَدُلُّکُمْ عَلَی سِلَاحٍ یُنْجِیکُمْ عَنْ عَدُوِّکُمْ وَ یُدِرُّ رِزْقَکُمْ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ تَدْعُونَ بِاللَّیْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ فَإِنَّ سِلَاحَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الدُّعَاءُ.
1. And from the previous chain who said: “Supplicate day and night; for supplication is the weapon of a believer.”

Reward of going to a mosque
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ یَحْیَی عَنْ کُلَیْبٍ الصَّیْدَاوِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَکْتُوبٌ فِی التَّوْرَاهِ أَنَّ بُیُوتِی فِی الْأَرْضِ الْمَسَاجِدُ فَطُوبَی لِعَبْدٍ تَطَهَّرَ فِی بَیْتِهِ ثُمَّ زَارَنِی فِی بَیْتِی أَلَا إِنَّ عَلَی الْمَزُورِ کَرَامَهَ الزَّائِرِ وَ فِی حَدِیثٍ آخَرَ أَلَا بَشِّرِ الْمَشَّاءِینَ فِی الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَی الْمَسَاجِدِ بِالنُّورِ السَّاطِعِ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ.
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Muhammad b. al-Hussain b. Abi al-Khattab from Safwan b. Yahya from Kulayb al-Saydawi from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “Know that those who visit mosque in darkness will get bright eyesight and glad-tidings on the Day of Judgment.”

Reward of visiting mosque often
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِیدِ عَنْ سَعْدٍ الْإِسْکَافِیِّ عَنْ زِیَادِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ أَبِی الْجَارُودِ عَنِ الْأَصْبَغِ بْنِ نُبَاتَهَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَبِی طَالِبٍ ع قَالَ کَانَ یَقُولُ مَنِ اخْتَلَفَ إِلَی الْمَسَاجِدِ أَصَابَ إِحْدَی الثَّمَانِ أَخاً مُسْتَفَاداً فِی اللَّهِ أَوْ عِلْماً مُسْتَطْرَفاً أَوْ آیَهً مُحْکَمَهً أَوْ رَحْمَهً مُنْتَظَرَهً أَوْ کَلِمَهً تَرْدَعُهُ عَنْ رَدًی أَوْ یَسْمَعُ کَلِمَهً تَدُلُّهُ عَلَی هُدًی أَوْ یَتْرُکُ ذَنْباً خَشْیَهً أَوْ حَیَاءً.
1. Amirul Momineen (a.s.) says, “Those who visit mosque often would get the benefit of (at least) one of these eight things – benefiting from a brother in the way of Allah or gaining extra knowledge, or appearance of a strong sign, gaining that mercy which was awaited, benefiting from conversation which saves one from destruction, or hearing about an act of guidance, or keeping away from sins out of fear or keeping away from sins out of shame.”

Reward of going to a mosque on foot
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ یَعْلَی بْنِ حَمْزَهَ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحَکَمِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ مَشَی إِلَی الْمَسَاجِدِ لَمْ یَضَعْ رِجْلَهُ عَلَی رَطْبٍ وَ لَا یَابِسٍ إِلَّا سَبَّحَتْ لَهُ الْأَرْضُ إِلَی الْأَرَضِینَ السَّابِعَهِ.
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali b. Majluwayh who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Yahya al-’Attar from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Ya’la b. Hamzah from al-Hajjal from Ali b. al-Hakam from Muhammad b. Harun from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who goes to mosque on foot, everything will glorify Allah for him from the place where he steps on be it wet or dry till the seventh heaven.

Reward of Quranic conversation and making mosque one’s home
حَدَّثَنِی حَمْزَهُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَلَوِیُّ ره قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ کَانَ الْقُرْآنُ حَدِیثَهُ وَ الْمَسْجِدُ بَیْتَهُ بَنَی اللَّهُ لَهُ بَیْتاً فِی الْجَنَّهِ.
1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his predecessors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who makes Quran his conversation and mosque his home Allah will make a house for him in Paradise.”
