Chapter on Recognizing the Major Sins for Which Allah (swt), the Almighty, Has Threatened with Hellfire

601. hadíth

وَ رَوَى هِشَامُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ اَلرِّبَا كَيْلاَ يَمْتَنِعُوا مِنْ صَنَائِعِ اَلْمَعْرُوفِ".

Hisham ibn Salim narrated from Abu Abdillah (a.s) that he said: "Indeed, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, only forbade usury so that people would not refrain from acts of kindness."
