Al-Sakuni narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (a.s) from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (a.s), that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s) was asked about a man who vowed to walk to the House of Allah (swt) but encountered a river crossing along the way. Imam (a.s) said: "Let him stand in the crossing until he passes it."
