Chapter on Zakat Al-Fitrah

296. hadíth

It is narrated from Ibn Abi Najran and Ali ibn Al-Hakam, from Safwan Al-Jammal, who said: "I asked Abu Abdullah (a.s) about Zakat al-Fitr. Imam (a.s) said: 'It is obligatory for the young and the old, the free and the enslaved. For every individual, it is one sa' (measure) of wheat, or one sa' of dates, or one sa' of raisins.'"
