Chapter on Shortening the Prayer on the Way to Arafat

1220. hadíth

Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar narrated: I said to Abu Abdullah (a.s): "The people of Mecca pray the full (four-unit) prayer at Arafat." Imam (a.s) said: "Woe to them, or alas for them! What journey is more arduous than this? It should not be performed in full (but shortened to two units)."
