Chapter on What is Performed on Behalf of the Deceased Regarding the Pilgrimage of Islam, Whether They Made a Will or Not

1155. hadíth

It was narrated from Al-Harith ibn Al-Mughira, who said: I said to Abu Abdullah (a.s): "My daughter instructed in her will for a Hajj to be performed, but she did not perform Hajj during her lifetime." Imam (a.s) said: "Perform Hajj on her behalf; the reward will be for both you and her." I said: "My mother passed away and did not perform Hajj." Imam (a.s) said: "Perform Hajj on her behalf; the reward will be for both you and her."
