722. hadíth
وَ رُوِيَ: «أَنَّ عَلِيّاً عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ مَرَّ عَلَى مَنَارَةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ فَأَمَرَ بِهَدْمِهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ «لاَ تُرْفَعُ اَلْمَنَارَةُ إِلاَّ مَعَ سَطْحِ اَلْمَسْجِدِ ».
It is narrated that Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s), passed by a tall minaret and ordered it to be demolished. He then said: "The minaret should not be raised higher than the roof of the mosque”.
