Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (a.s) said: "The souls are in the form of bodies in a tree of Paradise; they converse and recognize one another. When a soul joins them, they say, 'Leave it, for it has escaped a great terror.' Then they ask it, 'What did such-and-such person do, and what did such-and-such person do?' If it responds, 'I left them alive,' they have hope for them. But if it responds, 'They have died,' they say, 'They have fallen.'".
