Seeking the Place to Relieve Oneself and the Etiquettes of Entering and Exiting

47. hadíth

وَ سُئِلَ اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ مَا حَدُّ اَلْغَائِطِ قَالَ «لاَ تَسْتَقْبِلِ اَلْقِبْلَةَ وَ لاَ تَسْتَدْبِرْهَا وَ لاَ تَسْتَقْبِلِ اَلرِّيحَ وَ لاَ تَسْتَدْبِرْهَا.

Imam Hasan ibn Ali (a.s) was asked about the proper etiquette for relieving oneself. Imam (a.s) said: "Do not face the Qibla (direction of prayer) or turn your back to it, and do not face the wind or turn your back to it”.
