Abdullah ibn Sinan asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (a.s) about a man who becomes junub (ritually impure) during a cold night and fears for his life if he performs ghusl (ritual bathing). Imam (a.s) said: 'He should perform tayammum and pray, and when he is safe from the cold, he should perform ghusl and repeat the prayer.'
