Ismail ibn al-Fadl asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (a.s) about a man who travels from one land to another but resides in his own villages and properties. Imam (a.s) said: "If you stay in your own village or land, then complete the prayer; if you are in land that is not yours, then shorten the prayer."
