Accepting the Invitation of a Muslim

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) أُوصِي الشَّاهِدَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي وَ الْغَائِبَ أَنْ يُجِيبَ دَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِ وَ لَوْ عَلَى خَمْسَةِ أَمْيَالٍ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الدِّينِ.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from “Amr ibn abu al-Miqdam from Jabir who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, advised, ‘Those of my followers present must inform those absent to accept the invitation of a Muslim even if it is five miles away, because it is of religion.’”
