12 - حدثنا محمد بن بكران النقاش (رضي الله عنه) بالكوفة، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد الهمداني مولى بني هاشم، قال: أخبرنا المنذر بن محمد، قال: حدثني أحمد بن رشيد، عن عمه سعيد بن خثيم، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، قال: حججت فأتيت علي بن الحسين (عليهما السلام)، فقال لي: يا أبا حمزة، ألا أحدثك عن رؤيا رأيتها؟ رأيت كأني ادخلت الجنة، فاوتيت بحوراء لم أر أحسن منها، فبينا أنا متكئ على أريكتي إذ سمعت قائلا يقول: يا علي بن الحسين، ليهنئك زيد، يا علي بن الحسين ليهنئك زيد، فيهنئك زيد. قال أبو حمزة: ثم حججت بعده، فأتيت علي بن الحسين (عليهما السلام) فقرعت الباب، ففتح لي فدخلت، فإذا هو حامل زيدا على يده - أو قال حامل غلاما على يده. فقال لي: يا أبا حمزة (هذا تأويل رؤياي من قبل قد جعلها ربي حقا) (1).

Muhammad b. Bukran al-Niqash (ra) narrated to us in Kufa. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Hamadani the servant of Bani Hashim narrated to us. He said: Al-Mundhir b. Muhammad informed us. He said: Ahmad b. Rashid narrated to me from his uncle Sa`id b. Khathim from Abi Hamza al-Thumali. He said: I went on Hajj, so I met `Ali b. al-Husayn (as), and he said to me: O Aba Hamza! Shall I not tell you about a dream that I had? I saw that it was as though I had entered Paradise, and I was met by a dark-eyed beauty, and I have never seen anyone more beautiful than her. I reclined until I heard a speaker saying: “O `Ali b. al-Husayn! Congratulations to you on Zayd. O `Ali b. al-Husayn! Congratulations to you on Zayd, congratulations to you on Zayd.” Abu Hamza said: Then, I went on Hajj afterwards. I went to `Ali b. al-Husayn (as) and I knocked on the door. It was opened to me, so I entered. I came across him holding Zayd with his hand – or he said: holding a boy with his hand. So, he said to me: O Aba Hamza, “This is the interpretation of my vision from before. My Lord has made it come true.” (12:100)

13 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن عبد الرحمن بن سيابة، قال: دفع إلي أبو عبد الله الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) ألف دينار، وأمرني أن أقسمها في عيال من أصيب مع زيد بن علي (عليه السلام) فقسمتها، فأصاب عبد الله بن الزبير أخا فضيل الرسان أربعة دنانير (2).

My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from `Abd al-Rahman b. Siyaba. He said: Abu `Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) gave me one thousand gold coins, and he ordered me to distribute it to the families who lost members with Zayd b. `Ali (as). So, I distributed it. I gave `Abdullah b. al-Zubayr the brother of Fudayl al-Rassan four gold coins.

14 - حدثنا حمزة بن محمد العلوي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثني أبو القاسم عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن القاسم الحسني، قال: حدثني أبو حصين محمد بن الحسين الوادعي القاضي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن صبيح، عن الحسين بن علوان، عن عمرو بن ثابت، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه (عليهما السلام)، قال: قال لي علي ابن الحسين زين العابدين (عليه السلام) في قول الله عز وجل (فأصفح الصفح الجميل) (3)، قال: العفو من غير عتاب (4).

Hamza b. Muhammad al-`Alawi (ra) narrated to us. He said: Abu’l Qasim `Abd al-Rahman b. Muhammad b. al-Qasim al-Hasani narrated to me. He said: Abu Hussayn Muhammad b. al-Husayn al-Wadi`i al-Qadi. He said: Ahmad b. Sabih narrated to us from al-Husayn b. `Ilwan from `Amr b. Thabit from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father (as). He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn Zayn al-`Abidin (as) said to me, regarding the saying of Allah, “Forgive with gracious forgiveness” (15:85). He said: Forgiveness without blame.

15 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن يعقوب بن يزيد، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن حمزة بن حمران، عن حمران بن أعين، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي، عن علي بن الحسين (عليهما السلام)، قال: قال سلمان الفارسي (رحمه الله): كنت ذات يوم جالسا عند رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله)، إذ أقبل علي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام) فقال له: يا علي، ألا أبشرك؟ قال: بلى يا رسول الله قال: هذا حبيبي جبرئيل يخبرني عن الله جل جلاله أنه قد أعطى محبيك وشيعتك سبع خصال: الرفق عند الموت، والانس عند الوحشة، والنور عند الظلمة، والامن عند الفزع، والقسط عند الميزان والجواز على الصراط، ودخول الجنة قبل سائر الناس من الامم بثمانين عاما (1).

My father (ra) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ya`qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Hamza b. Humran from Humran b. A`yan from Abi Hamza al-Thumali from `Ali b. al-Husayn (as). He said: Salman al-Farisi (rh) said: One day, I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (s) when `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) came forward. So, he said to him: O `Ali! Shall I not give you glad tidings? He said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: My beloved Gabriel informs me from Allah that He has given your lovers and your Shi`a seven characteristics: gentleness at death, harmony in the solitude [of the grave], light in the darkness [of the grave], security at the shock [of the Resurrection], rightly justice at the Scale, a permit on the Path, and entry into Paradise eighty years before the rest of the people of the nations.

16 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، قال: حدثنا أيوب بن نوح، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي عمير، قال: حدثني محمد بن حمران، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال: من قال في أخيه المؤمن ما رأته عيناه وسمعته أذناه، فهو ممن قال الله عز وجل: (إن الذين يحبون أن تشيع الفاحشة في الذين ءامنوا لهم عذاب أليم في الدنيا والآخرة) (2).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us. He said: Ayyub b. Nuh narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Humran narrated to me from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said: Whoever [gossips] about his believing brother based on what he sees with his own eyes and hears with his own ears, he is the one whom Allah says regarding, “Surely, those who love to see indecency spread among the believers will suffer a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter.” (24:19)

17 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله ابن جعفر الحميري، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن عبد الرحمن بن سيابة، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال: إن من الغيبة أن تقول في أخيك ما ستره الله عليه، وإن من البهتان أن تقول في أخيك ما ليس فيه (3).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from al-Hasan b. Mahbub from `Abd al-Rahman b. Siyaba from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said: Backbiting (ghiba) includes saying regarding your brother that which Allah has hidden. Slander (buhtan) includes saying regarding your brother that which is not [true] in him.

18 - حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن الحسن بن علي بن فضال، عن علي بن النعمان، عن عبد الله بن مسكان، عن داود بن فرقد، عن أبي شيبة الزهري، عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال: بئس العبد عبد يكون ذا وجهين وذا لسانين، يطري أخاه شاهدا، ويأكله غائبا، إن أعطى حسده، وإن ابتلي خذله (4).

Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Faddal from `Ali b. al-Nu`man from `Abdullah b. Muskan from Dawud b. Farqad from Abi Shayba al-Zuhri from Abi Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali al-Baqir (as). He said: The worst of worshipers is a worshiper with two faces and two tongues. He commends his brother when he is around, and he consumes him [in gossip] when he is absent. When he is given, he envies, and when he suffers, he lets him down.

19 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن (رضي الله عنه) قال: حدثنا أحمد بن إدريس، عن محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى بن عمران الاشعري، قال: حدثنا موسى بن عمر (5) البغدادي، عن ابن سنان، عن عون بن معين بياع القلانس، عن عبد الله بن أبي يعفور، قال: سمعت الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) يقول: من لقي الناس بوجه وعابهم بوجه، جاء يوم القيامة وله لسانان من نار (1).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan (ra) narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Idris narrated to us from Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Yahya b. `Imran al-Ash`ari. He said: Musa b. `Umar al-Baghdadi narrated to us from Ibn Sinan from `Awn b. Ma`in the seller of hats from `Abdullah b. Abi Ya`fur. He said: I heard al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) say: Whoever meets the people with a face but has another face when he is away from them, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with two tongues of fire.

20 - حدثنا محمد بن علي بن بشار (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم القطان، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الحضرمي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن بكر، قال: حدثنا محمد بن مصعب، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، عن ثابت، عن أنس، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): طاعة السلطان واجبة، ومن ترك طاعة السلطان فقد ترك طاعة الله عز وجل ودخل في نهيه، إن الله عز وجل يقول: (ولا تلقوا بأيديكم إلى التهلكة) (2).

Muhammad b. `Ali b. Bashar (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim al-Qattan narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah al-Hadrami narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Bakr narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Mus`ib narrated to us. He said: Hammad b. Salama narrated to us from Thabit from Anas. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Obeying the authority (al-sultan) is obligatory. Whoever abandons obedience to the authority has abandoned obedience to Allah and has entered His [realm of] prohibition. Surely, Allah says, “Do not let your own hands throw you into destruction.” (2:195)

21 - حدثنا أحمد بن زياد بن جعفر الهمداني (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: حدثني موسى بن إسماعيل بن موسى بن جعفر بن محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب (عليهما السلام)، عن أبيه إسماعيل، عن أبيه موسى بن جعفر (عليهما السلام) أنه قال لشيعته: يا معشر الشيعة، لا تذلوا رقابكم بترك طاعة سلطانكم، فإن كان عادلا فاسألوا الله إبقاءه، وإن كان جائرا فاسألوا الله إصلاحه، فإن صلاحكم في صلاح سلطانكم، وإن السلطان العادل بمنزلة الوالد الرحيم، فأحبوا له ما تحبون لانفسكم واكرهوا له ما تكرهون لانفسكم (3). /.

Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamadani (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim. He said: Musa b. Isma`il b. Musa b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) narrated to me from his father Isma`il from his father Musa b. Ja`far (as). He said to his Shi`a: O Shi`a! Do not weaken your necks by abandoning obedience to your sultan. If he is just, then ask Allah to maintain him, and if he is unjust, then ask Allah to rectify him, for surely, your rectification is in the rectification of your sultan. Surely, the just sultan is as a merciful father, so love for him what you love for yourselves, and hate for him what you hate for yourselves.
