ʿUyūn akhbār al-Riḍā

71 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: إِذا أَكَلتُمُ الثَرِيدَ فَكُلُوا مِن جَوانِبِهِ فَإِنَّ الذُّروَةَ فِيهَا البَرَكَةُ.

31-71 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Whenever you are having porridge eat from the side of the dish as there are blessings in the middle.”

72 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: نِعمَ الإِدامُ الخَلُّ، وَلا يُفتَقَرُ أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ عِنْدَهُم الخَلُّ.

31-72 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Vinegar is excellent. Whoever has vinegar in his house will never be left without anything to eat.”

73 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: اَللَّهُمَّ باركَ لامَّتي فِي بُكُورِها يَوْمَ سَبتِها وَخَميسِها.

31-73 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “O God! Please add to the blessings of my nation every Saturday and Thursday morning.”

74 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: اِدَّهنُوا بِالبَنَفسَجِ فَإِنَّهُ بارِدٌ في الصَّيفِ وَحارٌّ في الشِّتاءِ.

31-74 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Use viola to smell good since it feels cool in the summer and warm in the winter.”

75 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: التَّوحِيدُ نِصْفُ الدِّينِ وَاستَنزِلوا الرِّزْقَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ.

31-75 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “(Confessing to the) Unity of God is half of the religion. Expedite the descending of your sustenance by giving charity.”

76 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: اِصطَنِعِ الخَيْرَ إِلى مَن هُوَأَهْلُهُ وَإِلى مَن هُوَغَيْرُ أَهْلِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تُصِب مَن هُوَأَهْلُهُ فَأَنتَ أَهْلُهُ.

31-76 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Do good to all people whether they deserve it or not. If the one to whom you do good does not deserve it, you deserve to do good yourself.”

77 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: رَأْسُ العَقلِ بَعْدَ الإِيمان بِاللَّهِ التَّوَدُّدُ إِلَى النَّاسِ وَاصطِناعُ الخَيْرِ إِلى كُلِّ [احَدٍ] بَرٍّ وَفاجِرٍ.

31-77 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “The most intelligent thing after faith is treating the people with kindness. Do good to all people whether they are good or bad.”

78 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: سَيِّدُ طَعامِ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِاللَّحْمُ، وَسَيِّدُ شَرابِ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ الماءُ، وَأَنَا سَيِّدُ وُلْدِ آدَمَ وَلا فَخرَ.

31-78 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “The best food in this world and the Hereafter is meat. The best drink inthis world and the Hereafter is water. I am the Master of the children of Adam, but I am not arrogant.”

79 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: سَيِّدُ طَعامِ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ اللَّحْمُ ثمَّ الازرُزُّ.

31-79 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “The best food in this world and the Hereafter is meat. The next best food is rice.”

80 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُعَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: كُلُوا الرُّمّانَ فَلَيسَت مِنْهُ حَبَّةٌ تَقَعُ في المِعدَةِ إلاّ أَنَارَتِ القَلْبَ وَأخرَجَتِ الشَّيْطانَ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً.

31-80 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Eat pomegranates. There are no other seeds but pomegranate seeds which cleanse the heart and force Satan out of it for forty days once they enter the stomach.”
