Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh

"اِتَّقُوا اَلنَّارَ وَ لَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if it is with half a date." (showing the enormous merits of even the modest acts of Charity or 'Sadaqa')

"اَلْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا اِئْتَلَفَ وَ مَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اِخْتَلَفَ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "The souls are like recruited soldiers; those that recognize one another will find harmony, and those that do not will be in discord." (regarding spiritual affinity between individuals)

"مَطْلُ اَلْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "The delay in (due) payment by a wealthy person is injustice."

"اَلسَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ اَلْعَذَابِ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Travel (discomforts) is a portion of torment."

"اَلنَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ كَمَعَادِنِ اَلذَّهَبِ وَ اَلْفِضَّةِ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "People are like mines, just as gold and silver mines."

"صَاحِبُ اَلْمَجْلِسِ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِ مَجْلِسِهِ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "The host of a gathering has the most right to the forefront of his gathering."

"اُحْثُوا فِي وُجُوهِ اَلْمَدَّاحِينَ اَلتُّرَابَ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Throw dust onto the faces of those who excessively praise (you)." (advises rejecting excessive flattery)

"اِسْتَنْزِلُوا اَلرِّزْقَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Bring down means of sustenance (from Allah (swt)) through (giving) charity."

"اِدْفَعُوا اَلْبَلاَءَ بِالدُّعَاءِ".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Repel affliction with supplication." (emphasizes the power of supplication (dua) in warding off difficulties and hardships)

"جُبِلَتِ اَلْقُلُوبُ عَلَى حُبِّ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهَا وَ بُغْضِ مَنْ أَسَاءَ إِلَيْهَا".

The Prophet (saws) said; "Hearts are naturally inclined to love those who do good to them and to dislike those who harm them."
