Chapter on Revoking a Bequest

493. hadíth

Yunus ibn Abd Al-Rahman narrated from Abdullah ibn Muskan from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (a.s), who said: "The Commander of the Faithful (a.s) ruled that the manumitted slave (Al-mudabbar) is to be freed from one-third of the estate. A man has the right to revoke his will, to add to it or reduce from it, as long as he has not passed away."
