2361. hadíth Majlisī: حسن أو موثق

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْمِيثَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) ثَلَاثَةٌ مُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ كَذَبَ فِي رُؤْيَاهُ يُكَلَّفُ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَ لَيْسَ بِعَاقِدٍ بَيْنَهُمَا وَ رَجُلٌ صَوَّرَ تَمَاثِيلَ يُكَلَّفُ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَ لَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ .

10. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah all from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Mithamiy, from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from al-Husayn ibn al-Mundhir who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ‘Three kinds of people will be in suffering on the Day of Judgment. Of such people, one is a man who lies about his dream. He will be held responsible to form a knot between two pieces of barley grains and he will never be able to do so. One is a man who builds statues. He will be held responsible to blow the spirit in it and he will never be able to do so.’” (The third according to al-Saduq is one who listens to a people who do not like him. Lead will be poured in his ears.)

2362. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف على المشهور

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فِي هَدْمِ الْقُبُورِ وَ كَسْرِ الصُّوَرِ .

11. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad al-Ash'ari from Ibn al-Qaddah that Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said that Amir al-Mu'minin (as) said: "Rasulullah (sw) sent on an expedition to demolish the graves and destroy pictures."

2363. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف

حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتاً فِيهِ صُورَةُ إِنْسَانٍ وَ لَا بَيْتاً يُبَالُ فِيهِ وَ لَا بَيْتاً فِيهِ كَلْبٌ .

12. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Amr ibn Khalid who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that Jibril (a.s.), once said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, we do not enter a house in which picture of human beings exists or a house in which people urinate or a house in which a dog exists.’”

2364. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف

أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ كَانَ صَاحِبَ مِطْهَرَةِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتاً فِيهِ تِمْثَالٌ لَا يُوطَأُ . الْحَدِيثُ مُخْتَصَرٌ .

13. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn Salim from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from ‘Amr ibn Shamir from Jabir from ‘Abd Allah ibn Yahya al-Kindiy from his father who provided water for ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), for his wudu who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, has said, that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said that Jibril (a.s.), has said, ‘We do not enter a house in which a picture on which feet are not set exists . . . Hadith in brief.’”

2365. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف على المشهور

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ لَا تَدَعْ صُورَةً إِلَّا مَحَوْتَهَا وَ لَا قَبْراً إِلَّا سَوَّيْتَهُ وَ لَا كَلْباً إِلَّا قَتَلْتَهُ .

14. Ali ibn Ibrahim narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy that Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said that Amir al-Mu’minin (as) has said: "Once Rasulullah (sw) sent me to Medina saying, 'Do not leave any picture without effacing it, any grave without levelling it and any dog without killing it.'"

2366. hadíth Majlisī: مجهول مرسل

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْجُعْفِيِّ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَكَّلَ مَلَكاً بِالْبِنَاءِ يَقُولُ لِمَنْ رَفَعَ سَقْفاً فَوْقَ ثَمَانِيَةِ أَذْرُعٍ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ يَا فَاسِقُ .

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from ‘ Abd Allah ibn al-Fadl al- Nawfaliy, from Ziyad ibn ‘Umar and al-Ju‘fiy from those who narrated to him who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has appointed an angel on buildings who says to those who raise a roof higher than eight yards (arms length), “Where do you want to go, O sinful person?’””

2367. hadíth Majlisī: حسن

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ وَ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ سَمْكُ الْبَيْتِ فَوْقَ سَبْعَةِ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ قَالَ ثَمَانِيَةِ أَذْرُعٍ فَكَانَ مَا فَوْقَ السَّبْعِ وَ الثَّمَانِ الْأَذْرُعِ مُحْتَضَراً وَ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ مَسْكُوناً .

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn al-Hakam and others who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If the roof of a house is higher than seven’ or as he (the Imam) said, ‘eight yards (arm-length), it is the residence of Satan or his living quarter.’”

2368. hadíth Majlisī: حسن

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ جَمِيعاً عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ شَكَا إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ عَبَثَ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بِأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَ بِعِيَالِهِ فَقَالَ كَمْ سَقْفُ بَيْتِكَ فَقَالَ عَشَرَةُ أَذْرُعٍ فَقَالَ اذْرَعْ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَذْرُعٍ ثُمَّ اكْتُبْ آيَةَ الْكُرْسِيِّ فِيمَا بَيْنَ الثَّمَانِيَةِ إِلَى الْعَشَرَةِ كَمَا تَدُورُ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ بَيْتٍ سَمْكُهُ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ ثَمَانِيَةِ أَذْرُعٍ فَهُوَ مُحْتَضَرٌ تَحْضُرُهُ الْجِنُّ يَكُونُ فِيهِ مَسْكَنُهُ .

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim and a number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah and Sahl ibn Ziyad all from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from abu Muhammad al-Ansariy from Aban ibn ‘Uthman who has said the following: “A man once complained before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about people of the land mocking at his family and children. He (the Imam) asked, ‘How much is the height of your house?’ He replied, ‘It is ten yards.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Make it eight yards, then write verse 2:255 between the eigth and tenth yards as you go around; a house with a roof higher than eight yards is an assembly place for Jinn who come and live there.’”

2369. hadíth Majlisī: مرسل

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَرَّارٍ وَ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ يُونُسَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ فِي سَمْكِ الْبَيْتِ إِذَا رُفِعَ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَذْرُعٍ كَانَ مَسْكُوناً فَإِذَا زَادَ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةٍ فَلْيُكْتَبْ عَلَى رَأْسِ الثَّمَانِ آيَةُ الْكُرْسِيِّ .

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar and Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father all from Yunus from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “About the case of the roof of a house which is eight yards high, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is a residence. If it is higher than eight yards, then on the level of eight yard height you must write verse 2:255.’”

2370. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف على المشهور

عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ قَالَ شَكَا رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) وَ قَالَ أَخْرَجَتْنَا الْجِنُّ عَنْ مَنَازِلِنَا فَقَالَ اجْعَلُوا سُقُوفَ بُيُوتِكُمْ سَبْعَةَ أَذْرُعٍ وَ اجْعَلُوا الْحَمَامَ فِي أَكْنَافِ الدَّارِ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَفَعَلْنَا ذَلِكَ فَمَا رَأَيْنَا شَيْئاً نَكْرَهُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ .

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Hamzah ibn Humran who has said the following: “Once, a man complained before abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying, ‘Jinn has expelled us from our homes.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Keep the height of the roof of your houses seven yards (arm-length).’ The man has said, ‘We followed the instruction and thereafter we did not see anything that we dislike.’”
