1891. hadíth Majlisī: مجهول

5- عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَيَنْظُرُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى فَرْجِ امْرَأَتِهِ وَهُوَ يُجَامِعُهَا فَقَالَ لا بَأْسَ.

5. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Ahmad ibn al-Nadr from Muhammad ibn Miskin al-Hannat from abu Hamzah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a man can look at the vagina of his wife during sexual intercourse. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”

1892. hadíth Majlisī: موثق أو حسن

6- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَهِيَ عُرْيَانَةٌ قَالَ لا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ وَهَلِ اللَّذَّةُ إِلا ذَلِكَ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from a man from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “About the case of a man who looks at his wife when she is nude, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful. Pleasure is but in such things.’”

1893. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف

7- عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) اتَّقُوا الْكَلامَ عِنْدَ مُلْتَقَى الْخِتَانَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يُورِثُ الْخَرَسَ.

7. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Bandar has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Beware of speaking when two sexual organs meet; it may cause dumbness and muteness.’”

8- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ مِسْمَعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا يُجَامِعُ الْمُخْتَضِبُ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ لِمَ لا يُجَامِعُ الْمُخْتَضِبُ قَالَ لأنَّهُ مُحْتَصَرٌ.

8. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from Aban from Misma’ ibn ‘Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ’One who has dyed (his hairs) does not go to bed with his wife/ I then asked, ‘Why one who has dyed does not go to bed with his wife?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Because he is confined/”

Detestability of Conjugal Relation in Certain Times

1895. hadíth Majlisī: حسن

1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ هَلْ يُكْرَهُ الْجِمَاعُ فِي وَقْتٍ مِنْ الأوْقَاتِ وَإِنْ كَانَ حَلالا قَالَ نَعَمْ مَا بَيْنَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَمِنْ مَغِيبِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى مَغِيبِ الشَّفَقِ وَفِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي تَنْكَسِفُ فِيهِ الشَّمْسُ وَفِي اللَّيْلَةِ الَّتِي يَنْخَسِفُ فِيهَا الْقَمَرُ وَفِي اللَّيْلَةِ وَفِي الْيَوْمِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَكُونُ فِيهِمَا الرِّيحُ السَّوْدَاءُ وَالرِّيحُ الْحَمْرَاءُ وَالرِّيحُ الصَّفْرَاءُ وَالْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيْلَةِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَكُونُ فِيهِمَا الزَّلْزَلَةُ وَلَقَدْ بَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ انْكَسَفَ فِيهَا الْقَمَرُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْهُ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ مَا كَانَ يَكُونُ مِنْهُ فِي غَيْرِهَا حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلِبُغْضٍ كَانَ مِنْكَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ قَالَ لا وَلَكِنْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ظَهَرَتْ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَتَلَذَّذَ وَأَلْهُوَ فِيهَا وَقَدْ عَيَّرَ اللهُ أَقْوَاماً فَقَالَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي كِتَابِهِ إِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفاً مِنَ السَّماءِ ساقِطاً يَقُولُوا سَحابٌ مَرْكُومٌ فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّى يُلاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَايْمُ اللهِ لا يُجَامِعُ أَحَدٌ فِي هَذِهِ الأوْقَاتِ الَّتِي نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عَنْهَا وَقَدِ انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ الْخَبَرُ فَيُرْزَقَ وَلَداً فَيَرَى فِي وَلَدِهِ ذَلِكَ مَا يُحِبُّ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘ Abd al-Rahman ibn Salim from his father who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about going to bed with one’s wife; if it is detestable anytime even though it is lawful.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is detestable between dawn and sunrise, from sunset to the disappearance of brightness in the west, on the day of sun eclipse, in the night of moon eclipse, in the day and night of black, red, and yellow winds and in the day and night of an earthquake. The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, passed the night in which a moon eclipse took place with a certain one of his wives and he did not do in that night what he did in other nights until the morning and she asked, “Were you disappointed last night?” He (the Messenger of Allah) replied, “No, but this phenomenon took place last night and I did not like to seek pleasure or amuse myself when Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has reproached certain people in His book, ‘When they see darkness in the sky falling they say, “It is a thick piece of cloud.” Leave them alone until they face their day in which they will be thunderstruck.’ (52:44)’” Abu Ja‘far, Alayhi al-Salam, then said, ‘By Allah, whoever after reading this Hadith goes to bed with his wife in such times that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has prohibited and he then is granted a child, will find with the child what he does not like.’”

1896. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف

2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَعْفَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ أَتَى أَهْلَهُ فِي مُحَاقِ الشَّهْرِ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ لِسِقْطِ الْوَلَدِ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Bakr ibn Salih from Sulayman ibn Ja’far al- Ja’fariy who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘One who goes to bed with his wife in the night of the end of a lunar month when the moon is not visible at all may not remain safe from (misfortune of) premature birth of the child.’”

1897. hadíth Majlisī: مرسل

3- عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِنَّ فِيمَا أَوْصَى بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عَلِيّاً (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ يَا عَلِيُّ لا تُجَامِعْ أَهْلَكَ فِي أَوَّلِ لَيْلَةٍ مِنَ الْهِلالِ وَلا فِي لَيْلَةِ النِّصْفِ وَلا فِي آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ فَإِنَّهُ يُتَخَوَّفُ عَلَى وَلَدِ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الْخَبَلُ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَلِمَ ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْجِنَّ يُكْثِرُونَ غِشْيَانَ نِسَائِهِمْ فِي أَوَّلِ لَيْلَةٍ مِنَ الْهِلالِ وَلَيْلَةِ النِّصْفِ وَفِي آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ أَمَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَجْنُونَ يُصْرَعُ فِي أَوَّلِ الشَّهْرِ وَفِي آخِرِهِ وَفِي وَسَطِهِ.

3. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from his father from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated from his father from his grandfather who has said, ‘Of the issues that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, taught Ali, Alayhi al-Salam, as advice were the following: O Ali, you must not go to bed with your wife in the first night of a lunar month, in the night of the middle of the month, and in the last night of the month, because it is feared for the child of insanity (being possessed by Jinn).’ Ali, Alayhi al-Salam, asked, ‘Why is it, O Messenger of Allah?’ He (the Messenger of Allah) replied, ‘It is because Jinn frequent overwhelming their women in the first night of a lunar month, in the night of the middle of the month and in the last night of the month. Have you not seen that one possessed by Jinn becomes epileptic in beginning of the month, in the end and in the middle of the night?”’

1898. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف على المشهور

4- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ يُكْرَهُ لِلرَّجُلِ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنَ السَّفَرِ أَنْ يَطْرُقَ أَهْلَهُ لَيْلا حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ.

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Safwan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is detestable for a man to go to bed with his wife in the night of his arrival from a journey until the morning.’”

1899. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف على المشهور

5- سَهْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَمُّونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مِسْمَعٍ أَبِي سَيَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَكْرَهُ لأمَّتِي أَنْ يَغْشَى الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَهُ فِي النِّصْفِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ أَوْ فِي غُرَّةِ الْهِلالِ فَإِنَّ مَرَدَةَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَالْجِنِّ تَغْشَى بَنِي آدَمَ فَيُجَنَّنُونَ وَيُخَبَّلُونَ أَمَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْمُصَابَ يُصْرَعُ فِي النِّصْفِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ وَعِنْدَ غُرَّةِ الْهِلالِ.

5. Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Shammun from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Misma’ abu Sayyar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘I dislike for my followers that one of them goes to bed with his wife in the middle of the month or when it is new moon because the rebels of satans and Jinn overwhelm children of Adam; they become possessed by Jinn are and insane. You can see that those possessed become epileptic in the middle and in the beginning of the month’”

Detestability of Conjugal Relation in a Room with a Child

1900. hadíth Majlisī: ضعيف

1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ ابْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لا يُجَامِعِ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَلا جَارِيَتَهُ وَفِي الْبَيْتِ صَبِيٌّ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِمَّا يُورِثُ الزِّنَا.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from af-Qasim ibn Muhammad af-Jawhariy from Ishaq ibn Ibrahim from ibn Rashid from his father who has said the following: “Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A man with his wife must not go to bed in a house where a child exits because it leads to fornication.
