Fear and Hope

155. hadíth Majlisī:

6. Ali Ibn Muhammad also narrated it in a marfu' manner saying: I said to Abu 'Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as), “Indeed, a group of your followers commit sins and say, ‘We hope.’ He (as) said: ‘They lie; they are not among our followers. Those are a people deceived by wishes. Whoever hopes for something works for it, and whoever fears something flees from it.’”
